KP has never really caught on in the USA. I’ve had clones and grafted fruits and both have been underwhelming. As some mention, KP will be competing again Mexican, Peruvian and Brazil mangos which run .25 to .50 per piece.

How was it? Most people think very little of R2e2 (pretty but flavourless) but as you know KP is thought of pretty highly.

It might be good to temper your enthusiasm for calypso and r2e2 and only have modest expectations.

Cool! Let me know how they go. I second Mike’s comments. As I said my fave is honey gold but most people here like kp. Curious to know if they differ to the ones grown there as we only have older USA cultivars to compare them to. Pretty excited to try the Zill lines when they start fruiting.

The newer Zill varieties are absolutely incredible and a game changer. I hope they grow and fruit well in Australia. Lemon Zest, Sweet Tart, Venus, Peach Cobbler, Piña Colada, Pineapple Pleasure, M4 and E4 are all top notch. I’m eager to see what our Australian friends think about these newer varieties.

We don't get any Australian mango in the northeast and I checked even the highest end stores... Peruvian ones are starting slowly...

We have Calypso mango in Dubai. It's not a bad mango, but it's a little bland. Possibly pick too early.

Honey gold is a good mango I would say equivalent to an Edward. Strawberry is same as calypso
