I saw those flowers growing in Ormond beach, close to golden lion cafe. I took pics but didn't know they are edible.

He will send eventually, in 3-4 weeks.
Nice seeds collection but there is zero communication from him even if you try to message or email.

I like all fruits but durian. I am not able to get passed that smell.  There is no taste worth going through that smell.

I had golden nugget. I liked the taste, but fruitflies ruined the most of them. The tree was always covered with fungus no matter what i did.  I replaced with argellino/angellino not sure. Also I tried Oliver in  one of central florida nurseries and was impressed by the size, taste and the look of the tree they planted on their property. I might graft it later onto my tree

Red lime
Ruby red grapefruit
Che "Huang-Kum #4"
White sapote lemon gold, golden globe, delta gold, Suebelle
Mulberry black prince, Isfahan

Marmalade is what i have in my mind for red lime!

I have not tried Eustis, but red lime is great and nothing like lime. The skin is like kumquat sweet and thin, orange color. Inside is orange and sweet just enough to eat. For comparison, i can't eat calamansi or limes.
I bought the tree after trying it.

9
Ping me when you have huckleberries!!
I will let you know what is in the season and i can send you!
Right now is starfruit only.

Citrus General Discussion / Re: How long before you know if a graft takes?
« on: February 27, 2025, 04:50:26 PM »
I grafted 4 weeks ago and the growth is more than an inch on both. I removed the tape, but kept the rubber band. It's red lime on lemon and on key lime. It did not take on the orange tree at all

June plum

I find June plum (Spondias dulcis), the yellow/ orange type when ripe are excellent. A delicious sweet tart balance- almost insatiable. Top 5 fruits for me. The red ripe type while much sweeter, has very little flesh.
I don't know... I had a yellow one. Little flesh, horribly fibrous and ripening takes at least a year of hanging on the tree.

Speaking of mulberries, Jan's best was no better than everbearing.

We have ordered some seeds a week ago and nothing yet. I messaged him to check if the business is active and no answer yet.
I should have checked first before ordering like i emailed Oscar from fruitlovers and never heard back. Some sites like ghost businesses.

I have a 1 gal rooted cutting that i neglected. No fertilizer. It was in a 1 inch of standing water and fruiting none stop being just a 2 ft tall. As soon as i moved it into a less water spot, it stopped fruiting. It needs lots of water to set fruits.

I have a super hass  tree and it is doing better than any avocados i tried growing.  It was fruiting and holding avocados from 7 gal size. I found their taste to be just like store bought hass. Animals damaged the tree last year trying to get fruit, so this year it is looking worse, still recovering , growing slow in ground but still has a few avocados.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Soursop in Inland Central Fl
« on: July 10, 2024, 10:09:34 AM »
I would say it's a waste of time anyway... Soursop does not like temps below 45f. It will drop all leaves and fruit. It was growing well for me, and bloomed for many years but no luck.

I have seen many large producing mangos in winter springs, Oviedo, Sanford. Everytime i asked about variety i was told it was from a seed. Luck or something else, but my coconut cream and pickering died on me....
