Anybody ever successfully chip budded any Jaboticaba or Plinia?

Jabba The Hutt:
Obviously most people want to graft fruiting Scion wood since plinia are cauliflorous and they hope to knock as much time off fruiting as possible, but has anybody ever successfully chip budded a plinia?

K-Rimes:
Due to the peeling nature of the bark I think it would be very challenging.

I've seen people that have done approach grafts so it got me thinking... I wouldn't attempt a t-bud I guess, maybe a patch budding.

I'm not as up to date on all this plinia so forgive my ignorance.
Is being cauliforus a description of this genus?
Are species like edulis and rivularis three exception?
