Typically seeds... though now they volunteer occasionally.
Sorry I can't recommend a variety with large fruit.

Technically perennials.... In my area I treat them as annuals... I start them in late Winter like tomatoes and peppers.

It was a very dry fall here as well.
My Guava trees are grown in containers... so I give them daily waterings.
They were pretty consistent with their quality... so maybe regular watering helps??

As long as they have good drainage overwatering should not be an issue.

To make room in my greenhouse I will definitely need to prune it back pretty hard for the Winter season... so there will be plenty of cuttings available over the next few weeks.
I'll cut them to order while they last.
Let me know if you need some.

Tender edible skin with a moderately soft/juicy texture. Sort of a Strawberry/Passionfruit flavor.
Nice crunchy seeds that have a tendency to be easily swallowed or get stuck in your molars.
The aroma is FANTASTIC!
You will smell the ripe fruit before you see them.
For me... Outside of Citrus... one of the most productive fruits I grow.
Worth Growing!
This year I bagged each fruit with a drawstring mesh bag to protect them from critters:

Worked well!
