Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / Help me get some annona scionwood!
« on: January 29, 2023, 01:26:38 PM »
Hey everyone,
My annona collection is almost done! I'm just growing less than 10 for fruit production lol, not going to bulk collect annonas. I have rollinia, cherilata, poshe te, soursop, ateymoya la habra...I have 2 rootstocks of montatna and i want to add sugarlata and a nice quality sugar apple...preferably isan indigo anyone willing to part with scions? Also maybe dream scions too? But I only have 2 rootstocks so one of each only lol. If you can sell, hit me up. Should be good to graft within a month or so, just want to secure the scions now. Thanks again.

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / SELL one lot of maprang seeds 12 count
« on: January 23, 2023, 06:50:51 PM »
Got some maprang supposedly mayong chid
I believe it's mayong chid as it's sweet no sour or tart. After talking to some people.
Anyways the fruit tastes really good like cambuca. gelatinous flesh and great taste. If more people tried this, mango would go out of business.
12 seeds for $45 free ship. Thanks!

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / Where to buy boxes?
« on: January 18, 2023, 09:33:12 PM »
So I want to ship more stuff easier and need to find a place to buy boxes. USPS is too expensive and I’m just fed up with them.
I looked at uline, but shipping is more than a quarter of the cost of the boxes…what…size like 6*6*24 or something like that. 50 box plus shipping is like $120 lol
Is there any other place to get these cheap?

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / Jaboticaba45 2023 Plant Want to Buys
« on: December 22, 2022, 09:49:44 PM »
Hey all,
Here's what I want to buy or trade this coming year.
Of course it's the worst time to send stuff, but this is for the future year:
-sweet tart
-lemon zest
Any variety of lychee I don't have (Mauritius, sweet tart, hak ip)
lemon drop rootstock
jaboticaba rootstock
butterscotch sapodilla

That's all I can think of, but I'll update this throughout the year.
I'm open to trading or buying. Also, I may just snatch them up in FL when I'm there hopefully next summer cause shipping is annoying sometimes.

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / 2022 PayPal taxes
« on: November 25, 2022, 12:24:07 AM »
I know we all use PayPal and I read today that they will charge taxes on all earning over $600
Even a kid like me can earn money like that…
Well that sucks…
If anyone want to elaborate on this more or explain it more feel free to.
I guess it can be bypassed by friends/family

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Happy Thanksgiving Forum!
« on: November 24, 2022, 08:14:27 PM »
With this year almost to a close, maybe we could share what we are thankful for in regards to tropical fruits?
I'll go first - I'm thankful to have made many relationships with other members which has allowed me to obtain invaluable knowledge and materials.
I'm also thankful for my parents who are supportive enough of my hobby who go down to FL with me each year.
Also thankful that my collection has been growing at an incredible pace. It's almost like an exponential growth curve!

Let’s use this thread to spread awareness of cool underrated fruits that are worth growing. What are your takes on this?
I’ll go first.
Kwai muk. Why?
Great taste as it’s like a peach citrus with balance tartness. It’s also a cold tolerant tree.
Beautiful tree too.
Honorable mention to olosapo
Also a beautiful tree with silvery leaves and the fruit smells so good like burnt sugar.

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / Selling plants that I don't need/want
« on: November 01, 2022, 05:26:01 PM »
I can't grow everything
Space is limited
My collection is always evolving
So we getting rid of stuff

Variegated eugenia calycina $60
little green on green variegattion
Forgot to add picture of whole tree but it's around a foot tall and nice and stocky.

Soursop yeah it gets wrecked by the cold here
I'd just use this as rootstock $35

Maprang $35

E-4 Abiu
sorry I was lazy and didn't fertilize. These are true to type from seed and are from selected cultivar.
After tasting some good and bad fruit of abiu, I'd make sure to get top notch genetics based off of my experience $40

Double grafted coronata restinga

Large abiu

Abiu trunk

Nice sized Pitangatubas
I got 10 of them I'd like to do a bulk order and sell them all
So maybe 150$ for them all eh?

Big myrciaria floribunda $100

Annona vepretorum $80

Annona Scleroderma $60
Poshte Cool does well in greenhouse

Eugenia reinwardtiana $20

Also feel free to make any offers if you don't like the price.

Myrica rubra

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / Selling yangmei seeds
« on: October 28, 2022, 01:58:35 PM »
OK I'll be honest
I have some seeds that were cold stratified and could probably germinate.
But I'm too lazy. So I'd just throw them in a pot and leave them be.
But I'm sure that theres someone who cares to try them
Of course yangmei germination rates are all over the board. And they take time
These seeds have been cold strated for 3 months.
I think theres like 12+ seeds
So $30 for them all including shipping.
If no one wants them then thats fine theyll just sit in my greenhouse probably doing nothing. :-*
