Does anyone else have trouble meeting your citrus' trees demand for nutrients? Mine are mostly 1-2 year old nursery stock (navel, hamlin, satsumas, lemons - some still in pots some in the ground) and I'm using citrus fertilizer (as instructed on the bag) but various trees (some not all) are still showing various deficiencies. I'm in 9a FL btw.

here is a navel orange leaf. I'm trying to figure out what it needs. Iron or Manganese? It is on new leaves not old. Newer growth is an even lighter color. Best way to apply the needed nutrients? Apparently, the regular citrus fertilizer I've applied hasn't been enough.

It is hard to tell from you photo.  The symptoms of an iron deficiency shows up on the new growth with green veins on a light yellowish green leaf.  An iron deficiency can also  be caused by a lack of sufficient iron, and also by high pH growing situations.  Manganese deficiency, deficient leaves have very similar symptoms as iron, except the green veins have green boarders along side the veins.   If it is a manganese deficient problem the tree will probably  take care of it on its onw.

I use Osmocote 15-9-12 and a hand full of Epsom salt watered into my container trees every few moths with great results. In 9a you should have no problems with those in the ground.
