Question about growth push on new achacha
« on: December 15, 2023, 10:13:41 AM »
I bought this achacha about 5 months ago and this is the first time it’s put out new growth! So satisfying. New growth is double the size of old growth. Does the plant need more nitrogen or will the leaves darken with time?

All garcinias I know of have different colored and soft leaves in the new growth, that take a while to harden off. If they get blown around much or messed with, easy to damage at that stage. Colors can look chlorotic at this stage, definitely in achacha. If the new growth doesn't green up with time, might want to hit it with some fert w/ micros.
