Why not do it legitly? Very easy to get a small seed lot permit. Just saying.

If anyone wants to group buy them in, that would be super cool.
Small lot is tedious TBH unless you buy a big lot of them.

What kind of winters do you get where you live?

I'm tempted, but I don't want to try it if low 30's murder it, and this is obviously not a "stay in a pot" tree for me to move around.
Continuing my journey to disprove those who say "You can't grow that in the desert" since 2013.

I have had jackfruit with zero latex before. It is a thing. Caramel tasting though? Have eaten jackfruit many time in Asia as well as orange fleshed ones and never come across any that have a caramel taste. Cempedak can, yes , but never a caramel tasting jackfruit. But it wouldn’t be the first time I disagreed with someone’s taste description

I once had a fruit off of tAmber seedling tree and the taste had some caramel, some burnt sugar taste in it. Frank (FLNative) shared the fruit with me, so not sure if it had latex and how much. Raul, may be your's is an Amber seedling too?

Still waiting to try amber jack or any caramel flavored jack. Once in Kota Kinabalu I came across a mini looking jackfruit about 1 kg or 2 lbs, the spikes being close together and not spread out like in cempedak skin so I thought ok this must be a hybrid. Well after tasting it was pure bubblegum jack flavor so I determined that must be a pure jack if it was a hybrid it would have a slightly more funky or different taste than what I’m used to when eating pure jack. I will say that the flavor varies quite a bit from orange/ red to yellow and posted about it before but I find a good yellow jack like J33 is even better than most orange fleshed, not to step on anyone’s toes ;)

I also want to know if zero latex is inherited. I have some year old plants from a fruit I got at the store that was so delicious and 0 latex. I thought I was getting a small fruit, but I'm the end had so much I shared with two other people.

How long are the seeds good for after being dry? It has taken about 2-4+ weeks after it clears the the USDA to arrive to me but I may have a workaround.

How is a big lot and different than a small seed lot permit?  I've done small seed lots before.

A forum friend helped me out with these, thanks Raul and forum friend! ;)

They are very healthy and happy sprouts!

Considering naming one of them, The Wanderer; as the seeds went all over the place before arriving home.

I'm happy you end up having some of them, is very easy to clean, and the name sounds terrific! 😃😃😃
