Hoping to locate Australian Green Mulberry cuttings for sale (within the US only). Try me on trades, but unfortunately I have a young garden and my collection doesn't near match what so many of you have. I do have a few neat things tucked in there including a few dozen figs and multiple varieties of Prickly Pear originally from the Germplasm Repository in Parlier, CA (sourced from Fruitwood Nursery where they were named the Desert series). I also have a nice collection of garden seed (herbs/veggies/flowers).

If it helps to offer:
I don't have much to trade as my plants are primarily very young, but I have a small impressive collection of garden seeds if you are looking for an interesting tomato, squash, herb, etc. just ask! I also realized I happen to have a few Red Lebanese Bekaa Valley fig cuttings in my fridge tossed in there after a gopher decimated the roots on one of my trees. I have tested the fruit of this fig and it is true to type... and delicious.

Technically no. It is a gamble, with good odds IMO towards being a good fruit as they can be similar to the parent plant. Many who have grown from seed find their fruit to be satisfactory in most cases from my research. They can be worse also, then you can graft over it. Some on the forum have found some of their seed grown trees to be superior to their named varieties.

Thanks for the tip! I have already checked with him on the Australian Green unfortunately, and he doesn't have any more available scion for the year. :-\
I was able to get some loquat seeds from him though and I am sooo excited for those!! ;D

I had actually found and contacted that seller and she put up the Australian Green ad for me to get a custom order in. Looks like she got some nice sales on the rest as well. Looking forward to them. ;D

Let me add additional comment on growing loquats from seeds. If you grow seedling which are from very good varieties that are cross pollinated, you will have a high probability (75%) of the seedling tree that will have very good tasting fruits. Even some that is superior to the mother tree.
I have 25 seedling trees that have fruited and of the 74 loquat varieties I grow, two of my seedling trees are in the top tier (5 best tasting). Also I have three seedling trees which has fruits with the highest Brix this year (18-23). I have not seen any named loquat variety with Brix higher than 18 this year from my trees.
