Hi Behl,

I received my Sharwil cuttings last Friday, well packaged and sealed with wax both ends. Wow, thats a first for me. I am impressed that you take the time to do this.

Yes, Carlos. i only used Honey.
I also checked on the Mexicola, roots did not form yet but bulging with white nodes (?). I rewrapped in coir and will recheck in another month or two.

Adding to my previous post. Here is a second set of AL Zutano under similar conditions.
AL 8/12/19. Harvested 12/11/19. Honey as root hormone.

Seems to confirm that this is reproducible (at least for Zutano) ?

The plant is about 2-3 years old, long stem. Thats the reason i opted to try AL. I did three AL one each on Zutano, Mexicola and Wurtz about same dates. Waiting for warmer temperatures before checking for roots for the rest. So far no apparent roots formed yet. I noticed it has been very slow process.
Used honey as medium because someone on the forum championed its use. I was lucky.

Slightly off topic, Avocado AL not with water but with coco coir in ziplock.
My first attempt.

Base: Zutano
Medium: Coco coir with Honey as Root Hormone
Date layered: 8/11/19
Date harvested: 11/25/19

Hi , I am really interested in getting hold of some Mexicola Grande or Mexicola (preferably both) scionwood or/and seeds.

Received my Jan Boyce cuttings and mulberries from sc4001992 and they are well packed, fresh, professionally dispatched. Awesome seller, a pleasure to purchase from.

-> PLEAS SEE NEW UPDATED POST OF THIS <-

1) Black - Fruit is larger than the white mulberry. Fruit is 3-5" long, purple/black colored fruit, juicy and sweet.
2) White -Fruit is 3-4", skinnier than the black, greenish yellow fruits that are very sweet. Much sweeter than black. [SOLD OUT]

Black mulberry gets more fruit on the tree. Black mulberry will fruit in 1-2 yrs after grafting. White mulberry took about 2-3 yrs on my tree before having normal size fruits.
Scions will be taken from trees that are 3-5 years old.

1) Black mulberry is $2 dollars each, 5 scion minimum order.

Shipping methods and cost:
USPS priority - $ 7.90 (small size box)

3) Black mulberry rooted cuttings, I have 10 plants, will send photos to interested buyers. Size is approx. 1 gallon size ( $12 ) and 2 gallon size plants ( $16 ).

Shipping methods and cost:
USPS priority - $ 14.25 (medium size box)
[ plant roots will be in sphagnum moss at time of shipment]
[ California shipment only - 1 plant per customer ]

I still have a few Duke avocado scions to sale and plenty of pumice but running low on nimlioh and boony doon scions but will have more of thoses fall and winter 2019 others down the road will be Aravaipa,Edranol,Black johnson.

My name is Chris_C a newbie from San Joaquin Valley, northern CA.
Just about enjoying retiring life and taking an interest in avocados and some tropical fruits. Looking forward to learning from this wonderful group of people.
