I've taken some cuttings from my small tree and placed them in my germination dome to propagate. It will take some time, but I'm hoping to have some rooted extras later this year. They are supposed to be moderate to hard to root but we will see . its all for science and expanding the collection.

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / Re: Campomanesia guazimolfolia

I'm not seeing the photos, but schlechtendaliana is glossy-leafed, guazumifolia is almost rough.

https://www.crfg.org/piwigo/picture.php?/3795

Still not certain of what I have. Here are some pics I found of campomanesia guazimolfolia from user huertasurbanas, looks like what i have(first pics). Also if u look at pics of camp guazimolfolia on bellamytrees.com his pics look like my fruit/leaves. Also found pic of young campomanesia schlechtendaliana plant on wildlandsnursery, looks like the leaves have little hooks. I have a plant labeled as campomanesia schlechtendaliana not fruiting yet and the leaves have hooks on them(last pic i posted). With that said I'm pretty confident what I have fruiting is campomanesia guazimolfolia, hard to be sure with so much misleading pics online. If anyone has input please jump in

Lmk if those scions u grafted end up taking Kevin!

Thanks for sharing! Still can't upload a photo for some reason. The plant I have labeled schlechtendaliana does have glossy leaves and kinda wavy edge to leaf , the one I have labeled guazimolfolia has almost a rough feel to it leaf is not wavey. Will try to upload photos again tomorrow

It's definitely confusing, you're right. I'd be surprised if neither of those plants could not be grafted. Is that last picture supposed to be Campomanesia guazimolfolia? If so, the leaf shape seems right. I might be mistaken, but I think the glossy leaves on my plants are from my guazimolfolia. I bought both Campomanesia schlechtendaliana and guazimolfolia seeds from FFF a while back, and unless there was a mix-up, that's what I'm seeing.

Hi Bill

With the weather warming up here, I've decided to withdraw my order. I don't think there will be enough time for the new yangmei trees to adjust after the long trip, and I'd rather not risk their health. If you plan for another order winter time I will be in ..

Good luck to all.

Mikey is a great and generous seller, highly recommended.

The cuttings I got from you late last winter have mostly all taken .. Thanks again!

The avocados are not good, dont grow it. The tree grows super slow too.

Thanks for the feedback Brad, does it grow slow on its own roots? would you say good rootstock for smaller front yard?
