« on: November 15, 2023, 12:23:30 AM »
According to the USDA Map, Phoenix is now 10a. I havent experienced a freeze in the city for a few years if my memory servers correct (Thank you Heat Island effect). Thanks to climate change, my dream of inground Durians may come true! /s

I think its a fair price to be honest. Having any sort of flavor beside boiled meats and chips must be divine.

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / Re: Air-Pots for sale (can ship)
« on: November 07, 2023, 10:47:49 PM »
Not so upset about it after the hottest month I have ever experienced here.

I'm now growing in half coarse sand + half pumice + a little bit of biochar. Then I top dress the container with vermicompost from the local worm farm. Trying to go organic as well.

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / Air-Pots for sale (can ship). SOLD
« on: November 07, 2023, 07:42:06 PM »
Hey everyone. Few months ago after I lost a lot of my container trees I switched to a potting mix with half sand. I have reverted back to using regular containers and have a bunch of air-pots that I wish to sell or trade.

The air-pots were purchased around summer and fall of 2022.

I have the following for sale / trade. Hoping to get rid of the lot for $400 + $40 shipping. Cost me at the time around $736

56  0.3 gallon propagation pots
31  #1, 0.8 gallons
18 #3 2.4 gallons
6 #7 5.8 gallons

Plus some extra fittings I bought.

The plastic pots are in great shape and are very durable. Everything will be cleaned in a Simple Green solution then rinsed off prior to shipping.

greenerpasteur, thank you for the scionwood.

You are welcome. I'm top working my pearl guava and graft this variety - Thai ruby seedless guava. I'll be making 3 airlayer if anyone want it. Should be available in 4-6 months for $40-60 in 7g to 10/15g.

What made you decide to top work to this variety? How does it compare to other guavas? I've never heard of this variety. Very Interesting. Also, I received your scions. Thanks. Let's hope they survive my poor grafting skills ha!

It's the hottest seedless guava right now. All the review has been positive - seedless, ruby, productive and low maintenance. It's crunchy, sweet and tart. It has alot of variety Asian prefer.
It's also very expensive. Small twig is $100 and 25 gal is a couple thousands.

I got some pearl guava. It's smaller than usual probably because of our weird weather and I airlayer alot of branches. It's seedless two years in a row.

I also have 3 airlayer if anyone to buy it.  One has been potted for a month and the other two are recently cut down.

I'd be interested in a pearl guava if you're selling one. If you dont ship i could pick it up in 2 weeks. driving out that way

Hey Kaz,

Just receive an email mentioned CRFG for san diego will be held on 11/11/23.

In years past, were there many vendors?

43
Since it is below 90 degrees here, I consider it fall. Would love to drive and check out a fall plant sale if its not too late at one of the CRFG chapters in SoCal.

Any pointers?

45
we are out of the rooted scarlets. I should be offering more soon that will be flowering...
But for now, I can only handle shipping out so many plants with school and work.
Best,
Ryan

id be interested in the next batch of rooted scarlet if/whenever that happens.

46
If you end up doing another round of sales count me in!

47
For sale again - now harvested.
Sale for 2USD per seed + 5,5USD postage with tracking number.
I believe the cost is really reasonable.
