I'm located in Titusville on the East Coast of Central Florida.  I have 2 Red Hybrid Jaboticabas in 15g pots - both have been fruiting for years and stand about 6 feet tall in the pots - $500 each.  I also have a 25g Coronata Restinga that has been growing for 10 years and is now in a 25g pot (but desperately needs to go in to a 45g or in the ground).  The Coronata has not fruited yet, but is due anytime based on the age.  I'm selling it for $800.  In addition, I have a 25g Red Hybrid in a 25g pot (also desperately needs to go into a 45g or the ground).  Fruits prolifically year round.  I'm selling it for $1000.

15g Yellow Jabo for $200 and a 5g Grimal Jabo for $120.

7g Pitangatuba $80

(2) 7g Coffee Arabica plants $50 each

I have Kari and Fwang Tung and like both.  They are very different in color, shape, and flavor which is nice.  I can't speak to B10, Bell, or SK.  I would like to find someone in Central Florida who has those varieties so I could try them.

First, I want to apologize for not responding since my OP in 2016!

I grew my plant gradually up into a 7 gallon, then planted in the ground here in C Florida a few months ago.  Seems to be doing alright in an area where it gets morning sun, then filtered shade in the afternoon.  Also, seems cold-tolerant, but we've had a warm winter so far.  It's about 3 ft now and has flowered and fruited, but the fruit never make it past the green stage (I'm assuming it's the squirrels).  It also does not set many fruit compared to how much it flowers and I'm thinking that cross pollination from another plant would help.

I have 2 large red hybrid jaboticaba plants in 7 gallon pots I am looking to sell for $100 each.  They stand about 5-6 ft high in the pots and both have already flowered and fruited.  Local pickup only in Titusville, FL or I can meet up with in the Central Florida area.  I am also open to trade for other plants.

Anyone growing and getting consistent, good quality fruit from Chinese Jujube in Florida?  If so, I would be interested in knowing what varieties you are growing.

I had a Chinese Jujube at my last property in Central Florida.  Grew well, but never set any fruit after 1 year in the ground.  It was either grafted or grown from cutting, but no idea what cultivar it was.

None of the carambola varieties typically sold in nurseries require cross-pollination to set fruit.

I've grown Arkin, Kari (Kary), Fwang Tung, Sri Kambangan - all of them fruit well on their own.

Besides mulberry, [grafted] starfruit is one of the most productive fruit trees at a young age.

Morus macroura (Himalayan mulberry)

There are undoubtedly many different cultivars of Morus macroura in the US, but most are referred to as either white, red, or black 'Pakistan' or 'Shahtoot' (which translates from the Persian language as 'King Mulberry'), though some cultivars or hybrids of Morus alba are also called 'Pakistan' because they possess elongated fruit (or called Morus alba in error).

Ed, I don't know the exact cultivar, but it's pink with a yellow center.  The tree is dormant now, so there's no leaves or flowers.

I'm only 10 miles south of you, Adam, in Maitland and the temps didn't drop below 40F for me.  I'm on the south side of a lake as well, so that mitigates the cold.  I'm going to miss this micro-climate once I leave this house and move to Maryland soon!  Selling almost all my plants but keeping the jabos and a few other things.

A few things:

There are very few things I would recommend planting lower than the surrounding soil, especially since plants tend to settle even deeper in the ground over time.  I would plant the top of the root ball even with the ground.  Naturally, mulch is going to be placed on top of that.  With jabo, I would recommend a few inches of mulch or even more.  Basically, I wouldn't purposely try to plant the jabo deeper than the surrounding soil, but the mulch will naturally be higher than the surrounding soil.

In your pic, you have grass growing very close to the plant.  Remove all grass (by hand, not round-up) within 3-4 feet of the plant and keep it away.  This will make a huge difference in moisture and nutrient uptake that would otherwise be taken up by the grass.

I would also echo what Adam has said in that the jabo seems to grow much better in a pot.  It's worth potting up gradually over a few years, then putting in the ground at a larger size.
