Annonas waking up, time to feed?
« on: January 28, 2021, 05:27:59 AM »
Here in Southwest Florida we will have Annonas waking up over the next month. Is this a good time to feed them some fertilizing?

It's getting close! I see some new growth already pushing on my geffner and Pinks mammoth,
but next Tuesday it says 38F again in the forecast. Dammit and these past six 80F+ days are making
the mangos push also. I usually wait until February 21, but I did start watering this week.
I am 6-8F colder then you I hope it's a short 38F if it gets that cold.  I usually check the weather channel
and I also check the records for my area. It's pretty scary how cold it has been throughout history.

Last year I fed my trees in March.
Trimmed them in April and fed again.
1 tree grew very well but only had 5 flowers.

Well fed trees have less flowers.
This year I will water less and feed after I see flowers.
