lemon hardiness difference

hello!

are there big differences in hardiness of different lemon varieties? some written description says something like "can stand cold better", but no precise info.

Harvey lemon is reported to be able to take cold to 10F.  My New Zealand lemonade has sail through 2 nights at 20F and 3 more night around 22F and more frosts than I have fingers and toes.  I have them all still.

Poncirsguy, how do you protect your lemon trees in Ohio? In western NC, I have to cover my Ichang lemon and other cold hardy varieties and use space heaters.

4 layers of  glass each side.  No heat needed yet this fall/winter cold.  New Zealand lemonade is on the left side and Valentine pomelo on right side.  NZL grafted on C35.  Valentine  is grafted on US897

I doubt if the difference amounts to more than a degree or two among true lemons (Eureka, Lisbon, etc). If you mean "lemon like" fruits (Volkamer, Ponderosa, Meyer, Ichang, etc) there are significant differences.
