Order #26 (SoCal)  I will be picking up at Joe's in El Segundo.  Though if any problems arise, Amy, I could certainly head up to Kevin's to collect the LA orders and bring them to Joe's.  I'm also willing to distribute from Santa Monica, but I don't have Joe's wonderful setup (or RO water)   I also don't have a truck but I do have a Toyota Corolla with a hatchback.  And of course, I am definitely eager to defray your costs.

Thanks for confirming, I have you listed for LA pickup (Joe's). As of now, Joe will be meeting with Amy to collect LA orders. If anyone would rather you pick up for them, just have them contact me to reflect that in our SoCal Drop-Off list.

 There will be 1-2 days in USDA for inspection. I am expecting the trees can be released by 3/4 Friday afternoon.
 Otherwise, we have to wait till 3/7 because of the weekend.

 The local pick up address and time in Campbell CA 95008 will be announced after the trees are released.

Tomorrow I’m packing, cleaning out SUV & gassing up my vehicle. I plan to leave at 2 am. I will be going to my Bro-in-laws until Bill tells me status. I will keep all distributors updated.

If possible could I ask for gas funds for people in the group that I’m hauling for?  I am unsure who has asked for their trees to be mailed. I appreciate your help.
It is going to take a least 10 hours on the way back, usually 8 hours on the way up.
I will most likely have to stay a couple days to wait for the inspection.  I'm going to have to pay someone to haul my kids to school any extra days I have to stay if later than Friday. Hopefully all will be inspected by Friday so I can head right back.

 Also the trees will be in damp moss & I will be driving to each distributors. The distributors will be passing them out. I will not be having a bunch of people digging thru your trees so we can try to keep them fresh as possible.

“There are about 28 people in the order list from SoCal( some individuals prefer to shipping, since they are not be available for pick up due to the work schedule). if everyone contributes $20-30, it will really help cover the gas fee.  I will have at least 4 tanks of gas for a Ford Explorer.

Hi everyone, if you have already contributed towards gas cost, thank you!

I spoke to Amy yesterday regarding gas costs and she estimates the cost would be around $350 - $400 (around 4 gas tanks to make this trip and back and possibly additional night stay depending on inspection).

In an effort to make it fair for everyone I have broken down the cost per person based on the number of trees they have ordered as follows:

Total Gas cost = $400
Total of trees orders = 256
Transport cost per tree =  $1.56

The chart below shows the cost per person/order in the last column, could we please ask everyone to make this payment at minimum to Amy's PayPal account.

I have been talking with Amy and it sounds like she now wants to the take the 5, which will put me outside of her route. This will mean I will have to drive down to LA, so, I guess whoever is in LA please hold onto my and Slopat's trees and I will be down ASAP to pick them up. This is pending her decision still, but I need to start planning this out in the case she chooses the 5. Just want everyone to be on the same page.
