I don’t have specifics on each type, but vines appear to contain both male and female.

Grow zone?

I leave mine outside totally unprotected, 9b, they don't even blink an eye under 32 and I've had mine down to 28f this year, no damage at all.

Nice collection. How can you tell the vines contain both male and female?

Thanks! When they flower you can identify the flowers with male and female parts.

All of mine have been pushing new growth through the frosts we've been getting. Definitely a very hardy and good species for 9b/ maybe even 9a or lower? Not too sure.

What type of soil you growing them in? I tried once before but killed it off pretty quickly. I think my soil was too hot for them. Interested to hear before spending $$ on them again.

Yes it’s edible. I don’t know anyone who has tasted it but you may be able to find taste report on it, but not for each of these specifically.

Hello Revival,

I am curious to know whether there is any notable flavor difference between these several color forms you are offering.

I'm n 9b so that sounds right for this species per your comments.

I haven't seen a price mentioned, though.  So.... Houw much are you asking?

Good luck finding anyone that has tried these first hand, they are quite rare outside the regions that they are normally grown and even rare there, too. I do not know anyone who has tried Kadsura. 9b is perfect to grow these and they enjoy shade, which is also nice.

The price is listed in the post, $60 plus shipping. Now that they are up-potted, I will be increasing the price soon since they are quickly getting larger.

People have reported tolerance to -17F!

I wish I had the space for these lol I thought kadsura coccinea is subtropical/tropical?

Kadsura japonica is the temperate version and it grows in zone 7a but tiny fruit compared to these lol

I think something like this is the easiest to find space for since 1. they like shade and 2. they are vining so you can have them climb up something or weave them through your space.

All I know is that I have seen several people confirm firsthand how much cold their vines were able to handle.
