Red quandong experiences?

I just made a purchase from Wildlands Farm (Hey, @nattyfroootz... I forgot to include my free shirt!  )

Anyone have experience with Red Quandong (Santalum acuminatum)? I think it'll do good here in Phoenix, but not sure about extreme sun and heat tolerance. Australian deserts might not compare well to ours. I've got an acacia tree I can put it near and that might give it the host it needs. I only got one baby for now, and I'll probably add a second tree, after a paycheck or two, in case it's not self-fertile.

But beyond that, and a few articles online, I'd love to hear what people's experiences have been?
