They are not nearly as stubborn as ilama seeds. My 2-3 foot seedling is from a small order of seeds. Several sprouted within a month, but only one made it to decent size, probably due to mediocre care. No special treatment or care, just seeds in dirt, moisture and sunlight.

 Fresh salzmannii seeds have a very high germination rate within one month. I have found moving them to full sun as soon as possible helps them grow faster but there is a slow juvenile period the first two years.

 Flavor is excellent! It really is different for annonas. Tastes of banana, apple, pineapple, melon..seems to have a slight scent of glabra too. Ive been told there are variations. Im growing another one called 'Porto Bello' thats supposed to have a white flesh and is creamier.
