Black pomegranate cuttings
« on: October 30, 2022, 11:52:33 PM »
Taking a few cuttings from my mature black pomegranate tree. I don’t know the cultivar name but the person I purchased it from said it was a variety from Iran. The pictures are from my own tree. Fruit does not set well on its own and for me requires hand pollination. Fruit is about baseball sized with pinkish white arils. I’ve found the cuttings root best in 100%perlite. Cuttings will be cut (Friday November 4th) and shipped same day USPS priority wrapped in moist paper towels. Price is $20 for 5 cuttings + $12 USPS priority shipping. Shipping in US states only where permitted. Cuttings will not be available after November 4th. Thank you:) -Eric

How large are the fruit, what is the flavor like, and how soft/hard are the seeds?

The fruit are baseball sized. Not as large as wonderful pomegranate but not a whole lot smaller. The seeds are softer and the taste is mild sweet and not as tart as a regular pomegranate. I would say the taste is similar to pomelo
