Loquats are one of my favorite fruit trees, they are beautiful and produce tons of tasty fruit with no effort and are drought tolerant.  I just learned that they are also a fire resistant tree.

Thank you for offering some of these rare varieties.  I have planted lots of seeds for rootstock in the future to graft onto.  I will be using loquats along with opuntia and a few others as a firebreak around my farm in Fallbrook. Loquats also create a fast growing evergreen privacy screen.

Look forward to tasting your varieties, thanks again for sharing.

I totally agree Janet.
I did not know they were fire resistant as well.
Loquats grow like a weed in CA and I am excited to keep grafting new varieties and trying to turn people on to this very tasty , beautiful and bombproof tree.
