I have a white jabo grafted on Sabara root stock. It is producing fruit and
in a 25 gallon pot. I have it set up where it gets 4-5 hours of direct morning sun.
I was thinking about putting it in the ground in full sun basically. Does
anyone have a white in full sun?

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Thai #1 sugar apple
« on: August 12, 2020, 11:51:33 AM »

Here is a Thai sugar apple next to an Improved Isan Indigo.
This is the first year for the Thai to produce. It was very good.
It was not an easy peal like the Improved Isan and the Improved Isan is still my
favorite this year. Usually annonas taste better their second year?

Tropical Fruit Discussion / hypoglauca
« on: August 02, 2020, 12:50:35 PM »
I was given these 4 seeds last year in October and I left them in damp
vermiculite until a couple weeks ago. Initially I was told to crack the seed coat
and I should have tried it on one. A couple weeks ago I chipped the edge off all 4 and
was pleasantly suprised today when I checked them. The coat was so thick I wonder
if they would have ever germinated? So how deep do you plant germinated Pouteria seeds?

« on: July 12, 2020, 09:05:37 PM »
I picked up this seedling this year and wondered if You would stake it vertically or
let it grow horizontally? I have seen some pictures and it seems like this tree is more of a
shrub then tree? This was one of those trees that eluded me for a long time and I really want it
to thrive.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Ohia lychee
« on: May 31, 2020, 04:22:05 PM »
My Ohia lychee keeps having the tips of all the branches die off. I pruned them back
and now it's doing it again. The tree is about 7' and been in the ground several years.
I have several other lychees in the yard that are smaller and no issues.
When I pruned the branches back I noticed the branches are still green just no leaves now?
