Identification: Eugenia myrcianthes?

Dear friends,

does someone know if the plant on the picture is Eugenia myrcianthes?

Looks very similar to E. myrciatnthes...but fruits look so sour that no one eats them. 

Are they somewhat sweet? and is the inside of the fruit almost hollow?  and is a laxative to some?

could very well be myrcainthes...that would be my only guess.

Anikulapo, sour, but not too sour, in fact I ate a few of them. The problem was not the acidity but the fruit flies. The fruit was not hollow, the pulp was very juicy. The taste was exotic, hard to describe, but nothing to rave about IMO...
