Is this jak ripe and ready to pick?

Being far from an expert here, but I would say that it should be cut seeing that the spines look as though they have flattened out for the most part.  You did not mention the variety.  That might give others a better clue.  Also, are you getting any jack smell from the fruit?

Finca La Isla:
When you have easy, daily access to a maturing jakfruit I think that the smell is the most certain way to know if it is ready.  As soon as it starts to give off a jak odor pick it!

Wouldn't it turn a bit yellowish and kind of have a "give" when you press when it is ready to pick?

I put my nose up to it. No fruit smell yet.  Thanks for any info. Not sure when ready to pick. Don't know the variety.
