Looking for Malay apple cultivars (scions, seedlings or grafted plants). Thanks!

Hey Satya,

I have 7 fuyu seeds that have been stratifying in my fridge since November.

I also have Persian quince cuttings that have rooted in peat moss as well as some seedlings from some grocery store quinces coming up in the garden.

Happy to swap or sell. Have a great week.

PM me to get contact info. Thanks!

Hey Pasca,

I haven't settled on a price yet, but I am leaning towards $50 for 1-2ft Li airlayer, well rooted in the pot (1-3gal). It will probably be several months until they grow into the pot well.

I will be multigrafting the ones above 2ft (5gal). I won't price those until I know how many grafts took. Have a great week.

Yes, it's got a large seed, but the flesh is like a tart nectarine.

My neighbor and I cut his Jocote trees way back today and have a haul of cuttings. This will be a bulk sale to move them quickly.
I will fill a USPS flat rate envelope with cuttings for the price of $25 + shipping and PayPal fees. I think I can manage 5 or 6 packages. Not all the cuttings will be the same size but you will get lots of them. Have a great week. Reach out if interested.

I am gonna try this same thing with coffee seedlings. I put two seeds in each treepot. I will make a separate thread when the time comes!

All airlayers are now cut off and will be grafted or sold as potted plants later this year. Thanks to everyone who reached out. I will put more on in a month and will accept pre-orders with a non-refundable $5 deposit per airlayer. Have a great week!

That's good feedback Seng. Next year we could do either the second or fourth Saturday to avoid conflicts.

Soooo much rain. I love that at least in San Diego we are getting steady rain instead of thunderstorms.

We are starting to get more consistent lower temps along with this rain deluge so I am going to hold off on cutting new scions until mid-February to let the tree gain some vigor back. Have a great week everyone!

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / Fresh Beaumont Macadamia Seeds
« on: January 10, 2023, 04:44:38 PM »
Hi All,

The Beaumont macadamia trees are full of nuts. In addition to processing airlayer orders right now(list is pretty full right now but can take requests + a small deposit ($) for each airlayer that will be put on the trees come February/March) I am collecting lots of fresh nuts. Seeds will be priced by volume (not including shipping):

1-10 nuts: $2/each
10-100 nuts: $1.75/each
100+ nuts $1.50/each

PayPal Note: PayPal is charging 3.49% (on total, including any taxes invoiced as well as shipping which makes no sense at all to me) + $0.49 on each transaction. I will be including these fees in the buyers invoice as I cannot eat them with my low margins. I also will not be including CA sales tax (7.75% that I report to the state) in the base price for my seeds/scions. So, expect higher invoiced prices on all transactions done through PayPal. I hate doing this and am open to other ways of doing sustainable online sales. If you are local and are paying in person, disregard this PayPal fee. Thanks!

Broken down:
$10 Item
 +7.75% CA Sales Tax
=$10.78
+$5 Shipping (No CA Sales Tax)
=$15.78
 +3.49% Overall PayPal Percentage-Based Fee
 +$0.49 Flat PayPal Fee
=$16.33 Final Invoiced Total

If interested please message me with an address and email to send the invoice to. Have a great week all.

Hey Dan,

If you are still looking for Black Sapote I can give you my neighbor's number. He is always growing up seedlings from his trees. I have tasted his fruits. They are pretty good. Some trees produce sweeter ones. I also have small black sapote seedlings. The mother fruits from this tree aren't as good as my neighbor's but I am growing them up for rootstock.

Just wanted to let everyone know, I recently learned that PayPal is charging 3.49% (on total, including any taxes invoiced as well as shipping which makes no sense at all to me) + $0.49 on each transaction. I will be including these fees in the buyers invoice as I cannot eat them with my low margins. I hate doing this and am open to other ways of doing sustainable online sales. Please reach out if you are a veteran seller that can give me some insight.

I am not selling fruit by the pound. I am selling fruits for $2/each in order to get the freshest seeds to those who want to grow them. Each fruit has 1-3 seeds in it so its a good deal if you want seeds.

I grew these AeAe bananas from a small corm. They were delicious.

Are you still growing them? What are they similar to in terms of other banana varieties?
