I travel so far taking two flights and then crossing the border line just because I haven't found so high quality of this species in any other place, ilama probably is the best annonaceas with the great complex very sweet flavor and a friendly flavor profile

Hi guys I found a single tree among hundreds yellow ones who sets orange color fruit of excellent taste, the taste is kinda in your face very sweet with a nice tart ending, flesh is a darker tone of yellow than the regular one and also a bit more firm, the skin is also harder and don't get soft as the regular one which makes me think due to this it could be excellent for commercial uses as has long shelves life with no bruising

 ORANGE LUC'S GARCINIA
on my last picking fruit safari I was able to spot a tree with orange fruits instead of the regular yellow ones, I was able to get some fruits, they have an excellent taste, while the regular yellow can be totally sweet when fully ripe this Orangey ones have a stronger flavors very sweet but also with a big of tart all around, 90% sweet 10% tart, another difference is the skin keeps thick like Achachairu instead of became thin tomato type like regular yellow ones, the skin is edible and crunchy, the flesh is also of a deeper color of the yellow one 😀Definitely a nice find

I got a hold of some seeds of this rare fruit from Yucatan peninsula, I wonder if being related to Paw Paw ( Asimina triloba) could be used for doing a hibrid tropical Paw paw, another interesting issue is that according to the records it fruits in a long season of 5/6 months

Hi, I have Big eyes from Taiwan, great flavor, very fleshy, good size usually over a pound and low seeds count, the Isan Indigo seedling has proven to be usually true to seed red Chewy, easy peel Sugar apple that can be eaten in slices with a fork, has fewer notes of red wine. These two Sugar apples are sweet but not cloying sweet like most of them, so they can be really enjoyed, just got now a couple fruits of each but season is just starting there will be more in 2 or 3 more weeks

I went again to Guatemala looking for ilamas why go that far taking 2 planes each way and then cross the border in a balsa through the river then take a couple hours bus to find them instead of traveling closer in Mexico to Guerrero or Oaxaca?
Because this fruits are excellent, they have great complex flavor with several ranges between sweet and acidity and the colors are just  and extraordinary added beauty  this time because I'm traveling to Miami in August, came a month earlier and was able to find some early varieties that I didn't saw last year as Bicolor and FTS (Fleshy tropical snow) these specie fruit with good care in just three years and they are just medium size shrubs, so is easy to put several close by, I even recommend to plant a couple seedlings in the same hole for cross pollination and more fruits,

*Red delicious : the color speaks for itself very sweet ilama flavor with tangy end and red berry's notes
*Bicolor :awesome combination of red and white with a mix the red and white ilamas flavor, very sweet with red berries and citrus notes
