Is my M4 a M4?
« on: May 12, 2023, 04:44:05 PM »
First yr fruiting, vigorous growing, fruit aren't round & have shades of colors.
I did spray all trees once a couple months ago with Ag citrus, avo, mango micros.  Caused color?  The ones in shade are just green.
And the ones that fell early (thanks landscaper) tasted like crunchy limes lol.
Thanks!

Thanks guys.  How the base of trunk grows (roots growing out of it) might give a clue if it's common to m4.  My other varieties don't have nearly as many.  Hope i like them, looking like it's gonna grow huge in no time.

Update- i just ate 1 removed from mower path couple weeks ago.
Shriveled up some, was 3/4 size of what's still on tree & it's a M4 :)
1st time ever, weird.  Tasted how good sun tan lotion smells.

Landscape maintenance personnel scare me, they usually don't love plants. They spend their days hacking and brutalized plants. They don't know how to properly prune fruit trees.

I hate them and the property manager at our 55+ community. She claims the city mandates a 10 ft clearance under every tree. She's such an idiot. Can't believe what she had them do to a beautiful lychee tree.
