Price dropped to $175, or make an offer, highly motivated to sell. Thanks

Fruiting (with fruit on it now) Ice Cream Bean Tree (Inga) in large 15 gallon pot for sale. Also in the same pot a soon to be fruiting Surinam Cherry bush. Price for the combo is $225, local pick up only.

This is a common type of Inga. Height is about 5ft tall from top of pot. The tree is currently fruiting and has several pods on it (please see pics below)

There is also a Surinam Cherry bush in the pot that should fruit soon. I believe the fruit was black, but because itís a seedling thereís a chance it could revert back to red, if it does turn out to be red, I have an original fruiting Zillís Dark tree I will give you cuttings of for free, the fruit is incredible. I can also throw a couple small cuttings of the Zillís in for free at pick up.

Iím too far north, but can I ask why you want to sell it? Very impressive

Thanks. Selling the tree because I donít have room for it anymore, and kids are expensive around the holidays! Haha

Many thanks for the kind words Rob! It was an absolute pleasure doing business with you and I hope the Madruno grows great for you!

6
Hi Rob, I have an extra Madruno seedling, I never know what to charge for these things, does $30 sound fair? If not just lemme know what you think sounds fair and we can work something out, hereís a picture I just took

Hopefully you pack seeds better than seedlings  :o

Despite the unnecessary comment- if you want a pack of seeds for free I will send them

To clear the air, Nate and I traded two plants- he was unhappy with how I packaged the one I sent, so I bought the plant from him and ate the loss on the shipping and the plant I sent but apparently he is still upset

Thank you! Iíll take a free pack. Sorry for the comment I was feeling feisty this morning, but when people try taking advantage of others, comments could and should be expected...but ya the trade with you was one of the worst experiences Iíve ever had on the forum...super stressful, and the packaging wasnít even the worst part...and for the record the two leafed, not ready to be shipped yet seedling you sent died, quickly. Howís that nice, healthy Inga Laurina I sent you? Hope all is well!

Had powdery mildew and killed several of my plants but you know- i'm not the type to talk bullshit on a forum- pm me the address and you'll get your free seeds I have better things to do than deal with your nonsense

No Daniel, what you sent me was nonsense bud. How you could send another member something like this (See pictures below) AFTER receiving a well established, HEALTHY (absolutely no powder mold, now youíre just lying) seedling? And then completely ignore me and the 3 personal messages I sent you over a 3 week period? And then, your totally rude about the whole situation. Iíve always had positive trades with other members on the forum, you were the only one that tried to do me like that. Itís a bummer too because we probably could have had a nice, trading relationship on the forum for years to come, but when someone does that kind of thing, Itís hard to get that trust back...

And yes, that pine branch was actually in there, SMH...

Heres a picture of a seedling thatís comparable to the seedling I sent you (see picture below) The one you received is on the left in the picture, the actual seedling you sent is on the right :'( And you sent that AFTER receiving my healthy seedling. If I were gonna send a forum member something like that in a trade (I never would) I would at least give them a warning thatís itís tiny and might not survive transit. Youíre a senior member on the forum who comes across with a lot of knowledge, thatís what was so surprising Daniel.

Nate, I will buy the Kadsura yellow. I had 3 seedlings (purchased) but they all died.

Sorry Kaz someone texted me about it last night and I sold it to them before I saw your message here. Next time shoot me a text, anytime is fine. Sorry to hear you lost those seedlings, they seem to like a lot of shade.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / OC Fruit Exchange
« on: September 06, 2023, 11:55:47 PM »
Hello fellow Orange County, Ca Fruit Growers!

Iíd like to start trading my homegrown fruit with other local members in exchange for their homegrown fruit. I think it would be a great way for people to try lots of different fruit without waiting forever to try it from their own garden. If you try some fruit you donít like, and youíre growing it, you wouldnít have to waste time growing it anymore. If anyone wants to barter please let me know. Only interested in trading with members who have been on the forum for one year minimum.

Currently fruiting now; Red Jaboticaba that are juicy and sweet, Arabica Coffee Beans, and Sugar Cane. In the near future we will be harvesting pineapple guava, dragon fruit, Citrus, Macadamia Nuts, Alano Sapodilla, Cherimoya, and more.

Fruit is elongated and larger than normal pitangatuba, there are 4 fruit on the plant right now. Seed is freestone. $95 OBO, local pick up in Fountain Valley

Weíve been feasting on Kazís Brewster Lychees the past two days. The flavor is a 10/10! Probably the best tasting lychee Iíve ever had. Very sweet and juicy with zero off taste. I could eat these all day. I donít really taste much of that rose flavor thing like in some lychees, if there is, itís extremely subtle, which is nice since Iím not a fan of the strong rose flavor in some lychees, itís like eating a flower, IMO. Also, weíve found a bunch of chicken tongue seeds  :)

Highly recommend buying one of Kazís air layers.

Or get one tree to save space and graft the others onto it. I concur on the royal crimson, very tasty 😋

Ya I should have looked back at my pictures first...the false mangosteen I had also had that pointy tip, sorry for the wrong ID Kaz! You should try false mangosteen though, I think you will like it.

Hey Kaz nice find, it looks like Garcinia xanthochymus (false mangosteen). I ate a couple a few years ago and if I remember correctly they looked like that, and the flavor was similar to what youíve described. I enjoyed the fruit, some were sour and some were more balanced with good flavor.
Please save me a couple seeds 😉

Awesome find on the new Annona! :) Reminds me of the Rollinia Parviflora Iím growing, it supposedly produces small fruits as well, that look like mini Biribas, and itís also cold tolerant, it survived many freezes this year outside unprotected, as well as a couple of hail storms.

Looking For: Tall Tree Pots in and around Orange County I can pick up. Thanks

Hey Marcos! First flowering from the sweet uvaia seeds I got from you in 2020  :) Hopefully get to try the fruit!

Hi Kevin, any tips for improved fruit set? Did yours fruit on their own after first flowering?

Marcos is a great seller and this is a beautiful Eugenia with gorgeous new reddish growth, and it flowers at under 3 feet in less than three years. Get you sum seeds!

Fruit punch was one of our favorite mangos this season. Lemon Zest, K3, and PPK were also fantastic.

Good looking out hammer! Thanks so much for posting, now I donít have to drive 6hrs to try the fruit... Have a great 4th! ✌🏽

Landed my first one but unfortunately had ants tunneling in it. Hope some of it is salvageable.

That donít look ready, doesnít look like it formed right and the color is off, prob cause it wintered over...It seems when pineapples set fruit here in the fall, winter over, and then ripen in the spring, they usually arenít very good, it seems they really need our summer heat/sun to get to their full potential. You want them flowering/setting fruit now, winter, or spring, that way itíll ripen in the summer, the taste and quality is night and day...Itís the same with dragon fruit. Congrats on your first fruit tho!
