Should I top off my Cherimoya tree?

Guys,
Please advise on this one. It's only barely 2 feet tall, the lateral branches were like 3 feet long, so I cut them back stripped the top few leaves. Is that enough pruning? Should I cut off more branches, make them shorter?

all my annonas start off thin and long branches, leading to dieback during drought, not always the leader some of the side branches can be longer than the leader.

Hi, I planted this El Bumpo Cherimoya tree about 4 months ago from a 5 gallon pot. It's about 7-8ft tall now.I do not have much space, and it will be difficult to get fruit from a 10ft+ tree.

Here is mine, when pruned and around two months later. I have two plants ,both have grew like that afther the pruning .



U can just prune the branches in half and strip some of the lower leaves like I did and they will branch out lower and the top leaves stay to help the plant grow.
