kulasa, I do have a question for you on how much of the leaf you consider parts of the leaf.

Are you just cutting the leaf from any branch flush without get any branch onto the cut leaf?

Maybe if you could post a photo of a few alemow leaf that you would cut off the tree before you put it in a pot so it is more clear how much of the leaf stem you are talking about here.

How big are your sugarloaf trees? Mine isn’t that large, perhaps 1.5-2” thick diameter trunk. While fruit set isn’t great overall and multiple panicles are bare, I probably have 25 tiny fruitlets currently? Not sure how “good” that is, I’m sure many will fall off.

If it's the variegated pink lemon, then they call it the pink lemonade, been around for a while. The Italian Pink lemon is a recent release, so it has not been around since last year in the states. I have my own bud mutation pink lemon, which is larger fruits, more vigorous than these others. Still looking for a citrus grower to grow/sell it, maybe actually make some profit from this hobby.

Great! Do you eat the seeds, stalk, or both?

My red goes from green, to red, and then dark red/almost black. Who knows if they go all black, either humans or critters eat them too quickly.

kulsa, I have the normal green leaf Sanbokan grafted on my Bearss Lime tree and it is a vigorous variety. It always gets large fruits hanging in bunches up to 2-3 and weighs a lot for the size of the branch (grafted). Also, if you use Sanbokan as a rootstock, it works very well for other varieties that might be slow/hard to graft.

Yes, I feel the same now, I use to have all of the variegated citrus in my collection, but the uniqueness is gone. I prefer to have an excellent tasting fruit instead. The best variegated citrus I had/have is the variegated Buddha's hand, the fruits are also variegated but the graft really doesn't grow much (weak) so I'm not to happy with it. I prefer my variegated Valencia orange since it grows strong, has tons of fruits and keeps fruiting most of the year. I still have lots of ripe fruits now on my tree.

Fresh seed will germinate quickly.
It's best if you can eat the fruit and spit the seeds right into their pots.
No need for special soil or water. Just hold back on any fertilizer for a while.

Here's a few photos of my Red Hybrids... Dark Red maybe?

The variegated parts of the leaves do not produce food for the plant.  The reduces the amount of food for the same amount of living tissue.

Mostly just a Wolfe or a Bradenton. What types do you have?

Thank you!
