Young nectarine new growth going to cross established branches

The new growth of my young sunwright nectarine tree is growing in a direction that eventually will cross with existing branches.

As nectarines bear fruit on last years' growth, what should I do? Should I prune them now? Or should I wait until next year?

U can guide the branch in the direction u want, since there is a wall behind, the way to save it it to guide it to the front. Personally though i would have pruned it, it seems like a weak branch and not a strong  water shoot or something like the ones that i had on my nectarine. Its below the scaffold branches and a bit too low on the trunk so my advice would be to just prune .....
