Late Frost Pakistan Mulberry
countryboy1981:
I have a pakistan mulberry growing and it makes it throught the winter great. The mulberry then leafs out and every year we get a freeze that completely decimates the tree and kills branches and results in no fruit. Is there any trick to delay the leafing out process or is this tree just not good for my area?
Rispa:
I would try covering it in something that blacks out the light.
Galatians522:
Maybe graft a Himalayan type that leafs out later? DMOR9 comes to mind, but there may be another better option.

Would you happen to know where to locate one?
