If not, I may want some seeds also.  How long on average before the seedlings begin fruiting?

I think Raul mentioned 4 - 5 years to fruit.

So far so good for my seeds.  Maybe 4 months since germination and 6 inch tall.  Typical for the species?

Typical for the ones I have....3 months and about 3" tall.

OK. I"ll check back in May then. I'm pretty sure that this is what my wife calls "talpa jocote." She says it's much sweeter than genip.
