West Coast Weather

The 1st strong band from Colin just passed through with rain almost horizontal. I suspect I
will find a lot of mangoes on the ground come tomorrow morning.

Yeah, it's a good thing it went a little further north than where most of the mangoes are growing on the west coast of Florida. Hopefully not too much impact on the season right around the corner...

Maybe spoke too soon. Getting pounded right now. Worst band of the storm seems to be impacting from St. Pete all the way down to Naples right now

Its been great. Low 80's average in town. Inland to Stockton or Sacramento 90's.  I even put out the Moth Orchids in bloom I had indoors. ;D

We lost all of our Mallika mangos, a some Lemon Zest, and our Ele Ele banana with fruit on it collapsed. Our guanabana tree was partially uprooted along with a huge plumeria - both in a normally protected spot, but the wind direction must have been just right. No flooding, but our lot is around 20' above the lots a block west. Thankful we still have mangos..hoping they don't split.

TS Colin left me 11.6 inches of rain since Sunday evening along with many downed branches. Mangos have held all their fruit.

As of sunset yesterday, no NDM down and just one Kent on the ground. It was still raining this morning
so I wasn't able to check.

I know. ;D It just a chance to chime in from somebody not with a large collection of TF tree's going!
Besides- its really been exceptionly warm in the bay area. Our usual 3 days and fog has been..2 weeks going to be three weeks of 80+.

7.5 inches of rain from Sunday through Tuesday morning; surprisingly, not a single mango dropped. What that much of water does to the flavor remains to be seen.
