Finally got my 7 gallon Venus and my 3 gallon Pickering. Excited to put them in the ground.

So what music do you like to plant your mangoes by? The agony and the ecstasy. Ive listed some possibilities:

Satisfaction
Livin' on a Prayer
Don't Let Me Down
Dream On
Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head

How bout yours?

Reggae and Salsa rotation, all the way... sometimes some Bhangra thrown in, if I'm planting and Indian variety! Mangoes love a good beat.

“Don’t Eat Stuff Off the Sidewalk” – The Cramps
"Me, The Mango Picker" - Carlo Mombelli
A Garden In The Rain - Perry Como

Ok just kidding around.   good luck on your Pickering and Venus.

I guess most of you are too young to remember the original James Bond movie, Dr, NO. One of the songs repeated throughout the movie is Under the Mango Tree. If you go to You Tube and type in the title, you will see several versions including the original song by Diana Coupland and a short clip from the movie where Sean Connery meets Ursula Andress for the first time where they sing the song on the beach.
It's one of my favorite movie songs, here are the lyrics: (I'll leave it to your imagination what "boolooloop" means)

Underneath the Mango Tree
Me honey and me can watch for the moon
Underneath the Mango Tree
Me honey and me make boolooloop soon

Underneath the moonlit sky
Me honey and I can sit hand in hand
Underneath the moonlit sky
Me honey and I can make fairyland

Mango, banana and tangerine
Sugar and ackee and cocoa bean
When we get marry we make them grow
And nine little chilґ in a row

Underneath the Mango Tree
Me honey and me can watch for the moon
Underneath the Mango Tree
Me honey and me we plan marry soon

Mango, banana and tangerine
Sugar and ackee and cocoa bean
When we get marry we make them grow
And nine little chilґ in a row

Underneath the Mango Tree
Me honey and me can watch for the moon
Underneath the Mango Tree
Me honey and me we plan marry soon

Underneath the Mango Tree
Underneath the Mango Tree
Underneath the Mango Tree
Underneath the Mango Tree

Thanks for posting a couple of links. But you there is another version out there that millennials may remember. It's a 17 second version by Homer Simpson and of course he sings the boolooloop line.

Definitely have seen Dr No, but didn't remember that song. I'll have to rewatch it.
“Every Time I Eat Vegetables It Makes Me Think Of You” – Ramones
“Don’t Eat Stuff Off the Sidewalk” – The Cramps
"Me, The Mango Picker" - Carlo Mombelli
A Garden In The Rain - Perry Como

The Ramones also sang the famous "I Wanna be Irrigated"

And let's not forget the George Harrison/Beatles classic "While my Coconut Cream Gently Weeps"

Wicked combination. 2 Artists I'd love to see but rarely make it to the blessed coast.
This morning I draw.... Ultimate tree planter artist Richie Spice

There's a radio show called " The Old Time Farm and Garden program" the 4th Thursday of every month, at 10:00 am Pacific on KKUP Cupertino . They play and talk old timey , folksy tunes like Guy Clark "Home Grown Tomato's" and things of that nature. You can listen online to radio for gardeners . http://www.kkup.org/sched/5-thursday.html#
