Mine has been giving me trouble. It is quite susceptible to bacterial spot and also gets burned with copper sprays. So once it gets the bacteria on it, the cure is worse than the disease! I'm thinking of jerking mine out and replacing it with a newer variety more resistant to bacterial spot.
Mine has also not been very vigorous this year especially. They need to be pruned after fruiting to keep their vigor. If its that tall and skinny you'll need to prune it to start training the right shape. I swear, I don't know why the nurseries that produce peach trees are SO LAZY when it comes to training them correctly. Every young tree I see is tall and skinny ... Sorry, it just aggravates me because I didn't know any better when I bought my "Christmas tree" and wasted a lot of time by letting it grow only to have to prune it off later.
One nice thing I can say - NO FREEZE PROTECTION! Yay! And taste - OMFG - a truly tree-ripened one is unbelievable. Seriously. You can't pick it even a day early, it has to be fully tree ripened. When it's right, I could collapse in the yard right there and die happy. I've never tasted something so good.
