It is in the teens at night, and high 20's during the day, but we have been well into the single digits at night and not above freezing during the day.
Tonight it is only dropping to the high 20's, and right now it is 32 and overcast!  Woohoo!

Great poetry in your post! Outside its so Delightful! Half of Florida would love to breathe in a severe below32 degree 3 day cold front and it would do them some good as in killing the bacterial baddies

Our physics teachers went outside with boiling water this morning and threw it into the air. Came back down as snow. my pal in chicago had school canceled because it was physically unsafe for him to go outside it was so cold. brr indeed.

Yeah, I have seeds coming up like crazy in my "nursery"!  Woohoo!
I also have about a million baby jackfruit, cherimoya, and some other other things that I forgot to label when I planted them.  That was dumb.

My coffee plant has had green fruit on it for three months, and they are just sitting there.  Either not enough heat or enough sun to ripen, I guess.  The pineapple are doing quite well though.  They are starting to turn yellow, so my male Bourkes grasskeet has quit flirting with them.  For some reason, he tries to woo every pink flower in the place.

I had a bit of a crisis out there, though, and had one night when it got down to 43 in the greenhouse (I think it was -2 outside...), and all the leaves have now fallen off my cacaos!!!!  I don't know if they will come back or not...

Hope everyone in the south is staying warm!!

The leaf drop, while not a good thing, is much better than browning on the tree without leaf drop.  My cacao tree took freezing and frost for an extended (for South Florida anyway) and got set back for two years, but did come back and is fruiting now.  Yours will be fine and will leaf out as soon as the weather warms up again.
