It seems to be a very nice fruit, and by the images it looks as well to be of a nice size. The colour is also great.
If you have a nice crop next year, put me in the list for 2 or 3 seeds!

Ah, and congratulations, for another one fruiting at your place!

Very good, they look great. Another one to look forward to adding to the list. Always a bonus when they good enough you can stomach more Than one. Has the fruit got a bit of fuzz on it or is it smooth skinned?

Totally smooth skinned

Righto, it almost looks like fine fuzz in some of the photos. They look perfect not a blemish. Very nice

Miguel,

Looks like a nice fruit to grow.  How old are your plants?

Congrats Miguel !

I wonder how sensitive this species is to pH and soil moisture ?

It would be nice if it's easier to keep alive than koltzschiana, which has the cerrado curse.

Adam, actually I have both: Arenosa and klotzschiana and they grow slowly.
Arenosa is in the ground (in black soil, not the cerrado curse) since 2014, and don´t need special care.
But klotzschiana is my third try. The previous (one try in a pot and other in the ground) were unsuccessfull and the seedlings died. In this third try, she is in the ground (also in black soil, not the cerrado curse), with no special care, and is going well.
Looks like Arenosa is more easy indeed.

As a side note, is interesting to say that Arenosa has redish new leafs, without "hair". klotzschiana has new leafs in light green and hairy .

Hi Tomas,
According to my records I've received the E. klotzschiana seeds back in Decembre 2007, and the E. arenosa seeds by November 2009...
Some how I lost tags since then and have then mixed up now... have 3 plants in pots and one in the ground and now I need to wait for fruits to properly ID each one... I think I kept 2 plants of each species... anyway all plants have been flowering since 2013... both species grow slow but, fortunatly, no signs of "Cerrado Curse" for me ...  this E. arenosa set some fruits last year but fruits did not arrived to maturity...

Thanks Cassio... I will try to check this... maybe I do not need to wait for fruits to ID after all!

Hi Miguel,

Sorry, got another question about this little gem. You said the fruit is sweet and very good. Can you also say something about its flavor? Does it remind you about any other fruit?

Good luck! I can also say the leafs have differences in shape. I´ll take a foto and post them later. ;)
