just leave it alone and let it grow. That tree is going to be way to big for its area but you can let it go for now.the idea is to keep it within 8-9 ft, but my concern is that as these two limbs are noticeable bigger now, sap will flow mostly on their side, leaving the tree unbalanced forever.
I am also interested in the containerized kiwi idea, althought i think mini/ arguta kiwis would be a better candidate for this, as they arent as agresive growers as the regular ones......
They didn't name it Fuerte for nothing!
then wrapping it along the wall with Nail in Wall WIRE CLIPS the kind CCTV installers use.
Whats a yellow sapote?at least where I live, it's known as Canistel. Scientific name is Pouteria campechiana.
Looks like the leaves are drying up. Likely transplant shock from breaking the root. Just keep it well watered and maybe give it a bit of shade with some shade cloth or maybe a large potted plant that can cast a shadow over it until it pulls through.water is not a problem. It's been raining, and when it does not for some days, I water the tree. Actually, I have two potted mangoes "protecting" it.
