In related news, here's the text on the label:

There is no mention of any patent, nor of any prohibition against propagation, and I certainly didn't sign a contract.

The pineapples I purchased from Tokyo Central had about that much or less but was more dried up. Good luck trying to grow it, you might also want to get some seeds and try growing them. I tried the seeds sind the crown went bad in a few weeks when I tried to start it in water.

When you eat the pineapple, please report you taste test results.

I've seen unlabeled pink pineapples occasionally at the Torrance HMart and Gardena Ranch.  Tried it once, and seemed close enough to the official ones I've had, except less than 20 ea.  At HMart, they've been right next to the entrance in the refrigerated wall units.

There's at least one Ralph's in south county OC CA that has these pink glows $6 each.  That's a bit better than the $26 I paid over a couple years ago :)

To me it was good, but not as good as the great or best I have had. I have one seed sprouting from mine.
