Mamy zapote help
« on: July 01, 2024, 09:22:24 AM »
I have a Mamey Zapote tree 2-3 years old about 10 feet in Exuma, the Bahamas. all the leaves have turned yellow and now have black spots. The tips of some leaves have also dried out. I have a drip irrigation to it. could it be too much water, please see pic attached.
Thanks a million for this forum

Hi,
As my experience, Mamey Sapote trees generally prefer well-drained soil and too much water can lead to root rot. Try reducing the irrigation frequency and see if that helps.
