Is the Lara farms everyone discusses her the one that's 3 miles north of the fruit and spice park? Stopped by today and besides some beautiful established trees all I saw was a smattering of mango trees all like 20gal.
Does the butterscotch has sandy/gritty texture or smooth flesh to taste?
NEWS FLASH: I was just listening to the Q&A with Julian Lara from Jan. 20 on Fruitful Trees YouTube channel, and he raved about a white sapote called Campbell (named for Carl Campbell), which he said he'll be propagating this year. (He also said he'll be propagating Butterscotch sapodilla--for those who were interested in that variety of sapodilla. I hope he won't be charging an arm and a leg, but you never know.)
The first Pumpkin Pie Mameys sold from Zill had Parrita on the tag so I’m sure that’s the same variety
Why not just order it yourself from Amazon and have it shipped to your door without a middleman? Took only a few days to arrive and they have different types and sizes.
So if we emailed you 2 weeks ago and havent heard back. Just hang tight?
How did I miss this thread? So if Zill is propagating this variety, is it another case of whatever retailer has any available they're going to charge two or three times the regular price, like what was done with the Butterscotch sapodilla? Does Zill actually charge so much more for these new varieties they've bred?
Are the prices on the website for shipped trees? Are prices cheaper if you go there?Does anyone know the answer? Prices seem high.
Any info on this variety? I'm not finding much other than dwarfness.
Is it true that Excalibur isn't what it used to be?
For Miami area I would definitely checkout Lara Farms for Camito, Mameys and much more
