mix 1oz bleach for every 9oz of water, soak for 30 mins. After you're done get a water bath and rinse them off really good so there's no bleach left. I used to use rubbing alcohol until I heard this trick

I use full or half dilute peroxide.  Watch it fizz- wipe it off.    Bleach is death and destruction in my hands, so I avoid it.

yeah honestly 30 mins might be pushing it, 15-20mins is probably good enough. The issue with bleach is the % sold is way different on each bottle but it's all labeled the same

People need to stop with the wet paper towel.  You cannput cuttings in a plastic bag dry and they wont dry out, the bag seals in all the moisture.

We almost need a new thread on how to ship scion material and make it mandatory reading.

Hey all. I received a bunch of moldy atemoya cuttings today. I am used to receiving cuttings wrapped in buddy tape but unfortunately these were sent in wet paper towels and moldy.

Any advice? Can I clean them with peroxide or something?

Thanks in advance.

Make sure to ask for a refund or for them to be re-shipped with buddy tape, as that's what you paid for.

I agree with the 10% bleach but if you dip it will kill any exposed tissue- including your grafting site cambium

I would apply externally to the bark- using a wet towel or paper towel

IME peroxide is not great in biological settings for getting rid of mold but amazing in other settings
