I have to assume he's asking which species of Euterpe creates acai, and the answer is Euterpe oleracea.

Actually three species create açaí though it’s not widely known. Juçara (e. Edulis) also produces açaí which is even commercialized in Brazil. The other source of açaí is açaí solteiro do acre which grows on firm ground and has only one trunk. You’ll only find it in Amazonia.

Are you asking which varieties produce fruit? All juçara varieties produce fruit that can be used to make açaí. I live where the orange crown version is native and it produces fruit after 5-7 years in the forest.

The way you plant the seeds is you make açaí, then put them in a moist area to germinate. They germinate very slowly. I imagine you could just take full fruit and plant them too. I’m not certain how long they last but açaí itself lasts very long and in Brazil you can order the seeds shipped. Jucara no one plants commercially where I am so you just grab it in the forest.
