Good free reference book regarding food plants of the North American Indians

Some of these food plants are sub tropical, since it covers the Southern U.S. edible plants of the North Americans. Anyway, I know many others are interested in growing many different types of rare and tasty food plants. Some of the plant names have changed over the years, but should not be that hard to find the correct plant name by using google.

Great link. Just spent 2 hours going through it. With bitter acorns and pounded tree bark to enjoy, it is a great motivator to remain in the tropics!

Glad you enjoyed it
. Nothing like durian growing in the wild over here... but there are some gems and decent overlooked vegetable sources. The best from North America is the berries, persimmon, pawpaw, and cacti fruit.
