I got seeds for garcinia intermedia a while back and it's definitely not intermedia. Thanks fellas.

Garcinias can be difficult. G. intermedia?

Thinking the same.
What makes you think its not g.intermedia?
g. intermedia or g. brasiliensis?
-
I have a bunch of different garcinia seedlings and they pretty much look the same, I don't think it will be easy to tell from foliage.
-
The reason I think it's not intermedia is, I got seeds of that from some fruit and those are much smaller to emerge. The leaves are more spear shaped at the tip on this one than the more rounded and much much small plant emergence size of the intermedia. It kind of looks like brasiliensis. I don't mind having some mystery plants to surprise me in years to come though lol. Thanks for the help fellas!

The thing is with the small garcinia seedlings is that they can be very similar and, at the same time, be highly effected by conditions. Perhaps for you a process of elimination.

Maybe if I dug up a little soil until I get to the seed it would help I'd what size fruit it came from to eliminate some off the list.

Here is the size of the seed. Much bigger than intermedia seed. I've only tried the intermedia fruits so I don't really know what this could be. It's not achacha, I have a bunch of those growing too. Thanks for the help!

The garcinias I have with seeds that look something like that don’t have foliage that matches at all. That’s a good step though.

Which garcinias do you have Peter? Thanks for sharing.
