Is there such a thing as preseason burn out
« on: April 14, 2022, 08:25:03 AM »
With Frost and freeze protection fungicides anthracnose powdery mildew and the squirrels running a psyops campaign on me.
I feel a little exhausted before the kickoff of mango season. The last coaching session I had was three or four seasons ago at Truly Tropicals. Har gave me a motivational speech of how Gary Zill use to swing from tree to tree during harvest season. I'm pretty sure when Alex hands me my first Dot of the season it will be game on for me. Anyone else running on fumes.🤕

I hate to say this, but the older you get....You'll be fine. Just stay the course. One foot in front of the other. The excitement will come back. D

I've heard of the so called mango
Up here We just have Mango Lust
If most even know what that means

Up here in the North we can only dream
I know some revert to fanciful colorful  pictures
I even heard of a condo Mango going around,

Is this luring me in, with a carrot on a stick
only to be left with a cheap taste in my mouth?

I've been keeping my Eye on this one colorful specimen
In this Environment will I have me a sweet surprise
or out time, money will the juice run dry ?

I've been down to the mango dealers Of Florida ,
but I'm afraid to indulge
as not to spoil my sense of taste
of my unrefined palette of the mango's up North..

Nor Am I a Mango Monk or a Mango connoisseur
I shall only embrace of what I've known my whole life

There is an old saying, "You can't reap in harvest if you don't plow in the cold." I have never regretted one minute of the time I spent working to make the harvest once I got a fruit in my hand. Even beyond the fantastic taste compared to store bought fruit, there is a feeling of satisfaction I get that money can't buy.
