Looking lush! I haven't seen those less common Mamey varieties at such a size. Mine are still in 3 gallon containers and I hope to put them in the ground in the spring. Yours seem very happy in the pots as well - do you plan to fruit them there?

Thanks! Yeah, I am planning on fruiting them here. They are in pots cause I am renting right now and my home is under construction. I've seen a couple of healthy tall coconut palms in my future neighborhood, so I think it should be warm enough to successfully grow tropical fruits. Maybe for the extra-tropical fruits like soursop, I will plant it on the side of the house that offers some protection. There are a few people that are growing small-scale sweetsop groves here as well (we have a sizeable southeast Asian population here).

I'm looking forward to further updates on your progress. What is your fertilizer regimen for the container mamey trees?

The only info I have on Vidal Redondo is that it fruits in the summer.
