Alright fellow jackfruit loving friends. Since living in hawaii I have probably eaten At least 50 jackfruits. And this one takes 1st place by a huge margin. Unbelievably delicious
Got this fruit from a friend growing the tree on his farm in Kona. He claims it's by far his best tree and he calls it a "jackfruit" but I'm pretty convinced it's a "cheena". (Jackfruit/chempedak cross) the way the pods SO EASILY remove from the central core. And also the skin can easily be torn back (similar to how a chempedak does) But the SIZE... (25 pounds this one) and also the taste and texture of the fruit are amazing. Soooo sweet and delicious and the yield was incredible. Texture was not all gummy like a chempedak... definitely not crunchy like jackfruit tho. Happy medium I would say
Anyways I think it's pretty obvious to say how stoked I am on this one. I will be planting about 10 seeds personally and selling the rest.
Let's do 10 seeds for $15. Plus $8 shipping within USA. Get em while you can. This one is worth growing

the description for how its compares to cempedak are also true for soft fleshed varieties, the thing that gives it away when its a cross is either the smell , taste or seed are cempedak like, more of a funk to the smell, taste, or the seed are slightly bigger and rounder than jack seed

thanks guys i try to sell good stuff... and yeah i'm not sure its a cross and i'm not claiming with any certainty that it is... if it is a regular jackfruit then its by far the best jackfruit I've ever had. and by far the easiest to work with.
I still have LOTS OF SEEDS LEFT.

I sent you a message :)

Jeff (Kona Fruit Farm) really is one of the best if not THE BEST seed seller I have dealt with. A++++++++ through multiple transactions.
-
All orders have been shipped friends! Thanks. Still have more seeds
-
Hi,
I've been PM'ing you for days. Please advise how I can place an order. Thanks!
-
I have not heard from them either
-
Ok. Should be up to par now. Anyone else I missed? Everyone else that has paid on pay pal has had orders shipped
-
Thank you for the message I figured it was just an accident probably busy :)
-
Cheena are pretty good and look like that inside. Fruit are often not so elongate. The seedlings might vary a bit from the parent.
-
I got my nice fresh seeds on Monday. Thanks Jeff! Great seller.
-
Since its from seed wouldn't it be a gamble for good bad or ugly since seeds are not true to type wouldn't you need to graft it to get a clone of this amazing cross

Never doubt the seedlings. The genetic potential is limitless.

I sent a PM and never heard back.

I sent payment back on 2/11/17. I haven't received any seeds or any correspondence yet? I sent several messages. But he does not reply.
-
How long will it take for seeds to sprout? I planted them a couple weeks ago but nothing yet.

Jeff is a good guy. I have done a bunch of transactions with him. I am sure he will refund your money or get back to you and let you know whats up. He is usually spot on.

Mine haven't come up yet either but they were super fresh when I planted. It shouldn't be long. I have had some jackfruit pop right away and others take a while.

3-6 weeks to come out of the ground should be average.
-
I got my seeds about one week ago.
One week later, Three seeds have already started to germinate.
-
My seeds have all germinated. The first to pop up already have shoots that are about 4 inches tall.
-
6 of 12 have sprouted already. 4 of em are already over 7" tall.
-
I received my seeds today. So all is good!
Thanks

Anyone able to report back how the seedlings are coming along?
Also, curious if anymore seeds available, sounds rad.
Sorry to resurrect the thread.

Yeah, I'd be curious if the seedlings were just as good as the original tree. Would they be fruiting in four years? Resurrecting threads is totally acceptable unless you're just trolling!
