If it's flowering but not fruiting then it is probably a pollenation issue. Mine are all self fruiting, but the central coast is very different than the Coachella Valley where it is 100 degrees during the bloom. You may want to try manually pollenating to see if that fixes the problem.

The ones from Lowes or Home Depot usually either Nazemets or Coolidge from La Verne nursery. They are both very good and productive cultivars. The more oval ones are Coolidge and the rounder ones are Nazemets.

About to plant out a Lucuma seedling, and I have a few questions:
Do I plant it in a mound like avocado or on level ground?
Does it need to be in a cold protected location or is it hardy to California zone 9b?

Hey Robert, my wax Jambu has stayed in a pot in my unheated hoop house. It stays maybe 5 degrees warmer in there on winter nights, so the coldest it has gotten is probably about around 35 degrees. It has shown no signs of stress and grows very rapidly. I can air layer you off a branch in Spring if you want to try growing the black diamond variety.

I wait until they are bright pink. They also tend to fall off of the tree when they are ripe, so I end up eating a lot from the ground.

Blueberry grapes are the best flavor wise, I am going to replace some of my Chardonnay and Thompson seedless vines with them this winter. They really do taste like a cross between a blueberry and a seedless grape Not sure if you can get them in France yet they are a newish variety.

Wax Jambu, Papayas and Garcinias are my favorite trees to grow in pots.
Wax Jambus produce lots of fruit even from a tiny size, but they take lots of pruning to keep in check.
Garcinias have a slow growth rate and a crazy taproot, but they never complain to me about being rootbound.
Papayas fruit in a year and make good use of the greenhouse space while the Jabos and Garcinias are still small.

Growing brasiliensis in a hoop house next to a fountain, it's put on about 6 inches in a year and a half. It's a little too mild here in the central coast to grow them unprotected, but the hoop house and fountain help it a bunch. I also have intermedia and achacha. The achacha is the fastest growing followed by the brasiliensis then the intermedia which has been painfully slow.

I believe it's fire blight caused by the very cool year we are having. If you have any pear trees or loquats you may want to watch to make sure they don't get it too.

I am thinking about using Plant Growth Regulator Paclobutrazol (PBZ) to slow down the Wax Jambu that I have in my greenhouse, so it stops growing into the ceiling every year. From the studies I found online it looks like PBZ has other benefits like faster fruiting times, improved cold tolerance and higher yields. Does anyone have any personal experience using PBZ for zone pushing or reducing fruiting to times?

My Cheromoya's lose their leaves like this every spring and regrow them a few weeks later. My guess would be that the seasonal conditions this year triggered your Atemoya's Cheromoya DNA to do a spring leaf dump.

It looks like transportation shock. The seedlings that I get from Etsy or ebay will do that for a few months while they adjust to being in California. But it could be a seasonal burn or too high ph in the soil.

Got some seeds from Trade Winds Fruits for "Eugenia myrcianthes - Uvaia do Campo" which germinated in my greenhouse. I was unable to dig up any info on the internet about the plant. Does anyone that has grown it have any advice about the plant? Is it the same plant as eugenia pyriformis?
